ABOUT:
For this edition, instead of commissioning eight artists as four designated pairs for the publication (one musician paired collaboratively with one filmmaker), this version asks the eight artists to work independently as indirect collaborators (whereby four individual works of sound and music are paired interchangeably with four individual films).
This approach emphasizes the project's focus on collaboration, as well as encourages the inherent dynamics of serendipity and chance. The overall look and feel of the publication remains similar, this time utilizing black instead of brown card stock, and color instead of grayscale graphics. As with the original, the included booklet contains an introduction and essays by Bay Area artists and writers, and uses color instead of black and white images contributed by each project participant.
